Kim Kardashian is getting called out for a post that has since gone viral.
The 44-year-old reality star recently shared a screenshot from the body horror film The Substance to her Instagram Stories, captioning it, "Watched The Substance with @demimoore last more [sic] 🔥🔥🔥 The visuals are so amazing and she looks so amazing!"
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for The Substance, a Mubi film, amplified her post by sharing it with the caption, "yes this is real."
Fans immediately began questioning Kardashian's response to the film, as The Substance is a commentary on the importance society puts on people's — and in particular, women's — looks, and how maintaining them can drive people to do crazy and even dangerous things.
Kardashian's review — which featured a screenshot from the very beginning of the movie — has since racked up more than 10 million views, with many fans pointing out that Kardashian seemed to miss the point.
One X user commented, "she watched the movie with her eyes closedðŸ˜."
"i love that kim kardashian's take away from the substance was that the visuals r amazing and demi more looks hot," another person posted.
A third person quipped, "not at all surprised that she would completely miss the point."
Some commenters suggested the film was about Kardashian.
"Kim watching the substance," one person posted, along with a clip from Euphoria of Alexa Demie's character saying, "Wait. Is this f***ing play about us?"
Another commenter posted, "the fact that the movie is almost about her ðŸ˜ðŸ˜."
The Substance, from director Coralie Fargeat, follows aging actress and fitness personality Elisabeth Sparkles (Moore), who faces a devastating blow after her boss fires her on her 50th birthday so he can replace her with a younger model. She turns to an elusive substance from an unknown source that promises to transform her into an enhanced version of herself, but not without consequences.
Kardashian has previously faced backlash over the years over body image — with complaints generally accusing her of promoting unhealthy beauty standards.
Many fans joked that Kardashian herself would likely take the substance from the film, if it actually existed.
"This is crazy considering Kim Kardashian would absolutely not only use the Substance but market it on Instagram," one X user commented.
Another shared, "Kim's gonna call Coralie asking if the substance is real and where can she get it."
Fargeat was nominated for the Palme d'Or for The Substance at the Cannes Film Festival, and took home the award for Best Screenplay. In addition to Moore, The Substance stars Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid.
The Substance is streaming on Mubi.
