GLOBAL music star Krept, one half of the acclaimed British rap duo Krept & Konan has revealed how he’s splashing the cash since buying matching Cars with Konan.
The 34-year-old is known for his hard-hitting lyrics, savvy business moves and his recent emergence into television.
Krept sat down at Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow event to share how he’s investing his earnings with a new level of responsibility, by prioritising his family and future security over flashy spending.
The rappers rise to fame began in the early 2010’s with Krept and Konan quickly gaining traction in the UK’s hip-hop scene.
Their hit tracks Don’t Waste My Time and Freak of the Week put them on the map but the duo didn’t just stop at music.

The rapper has co-founded multiple businesses over the years including dessert restaurant business Crepes & Cones and Nalas Baby a successful natural hair and skincare baby brand – inspired by his daughter.
While the rap star’s career has catapulted him into financial success, Krept is making it clear that he’s not just focused on the present – he’s thinking long term.
Speaking exclusively with The Sun Krept revealed how his focus has shifted toward responsibility and legacy – especially for his young daughter: “Unfortunately for myself, I've been buying, investing money and, you know, paying for private school now.
“Like just, yeah, just being a bit more responsible.
“A lot of what I do now, my money, I just invest it and think about the future and what can I leave for my daughter and just building a foundation for her because I just feel like it's a lot bigger than me now.”
In an interview with GQ back in 2019 the rap duo revealed they had bought matching white Mercedes, Krept explained: “I got an E-Class convertible Mercedes in white – both our cars were white and the plates were very similar as well, because we bought them at the same time.

"I remember our credit was bad, so we had to pay loads more deposit. A lot’s changed since then; we’ve got great credit ratings... I drive a Bentley now.”
“I’m a Range Rover,” Konan added
“After those white Mercedes we got the same car again, two Mercedes GLEs. Now we’ve found our own individual car identities!” Krept continued.
The rapper has now partnered with Samsung to help young people achieve their own successes.
Musician, broadcaster, and entrepreneur, Krept is this year’s ambassador for the Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow competition, an initiative designed to give young people aged 16-25 in the UK and Ireland the skills and confidence to create tech solutions for a brighter future.
It comes as new research from Samsung found 39 per cent of 13–19-year-olds believe there are too few resources for young people to make a change in society through technology.
When asked about the partnership, Krept said: “Partnering with Samsung on this is something that I do personally in terms of when it comes to business and being in a position where you can give back and help.
"I've always done that across everything I've done. The fact that Samsung are doing this and running a competition and providing an opportunity for young people to come, develop their ideas, get mentorship, capital and loads of other opportunities to develop all these great ideas. It just felt right for me to be a part of it because it's just something I do.
“Samsung being one of the leaders in technology and then now coming down here to help the next generation of people.
“It just feels like they're giving back and it just feels like something that I would want to do.”
Entries to Solve for Tomorrow are now open here until Sunday 12th January 2025.
