The former girlfriend of Rick Ross reflects on being "collateral damage" in the Hip-Hop beef.
Lastonia Leviston reflects on the emotional trauma of 50 Cent leaking an explicit video of her a decade ago on a new reality series. Leviston, the former girlfriend of Rick Ross describes being “collateral damage” in the beef between the two rappers as a cast member in the new Netflix reality series W.A.G.s to Riches.
“My baby daddy is the one and only Rick Ross. Our daughter is 22 years old, but I left Ross when she was two years old,” detailed Leviston in a solo moment shot for the series, per PEOPLE Magazine. She continued the conversation with fellow cast member Alexis Welch Stoudemire.
“It’s so difficult because I still reside in a home that my baby father, Rick, owns… I feel like I’m in a luxury prison, almost,” she explained. “I don’t even know how that fat boy wooed me off my feet, but he did. I went home with him the first night. I thought I was his Lil Kim and he was my Biggie!”
As the discussion went on, Leviston shared how Rick Ross and 50 Cent’s feud impacted her romantic relationship with the Florida rapper, including his Queens-bred nemesis leaking a sex tape of her and an ex-boyfriend Maurice Murray.
“Never once in my brain thought that I would have sex with him on tape,” detailed Leviston after explaining her ex-boyfriend would sometimes film them engaging in intercourse. “I didn’t feel unsafe at the time. I felt like I was happy. I was like, ‘I just f**ked my man on camera’.”
She continued to explain how as she and her boyfriend broke up, Rick Ross and 50 Cent’s beef began to erupt, leading to the non-consensual release of the explicit clip. Leviston detailed, “Long story short, my ex, the guy that was in the sex tape, he’s bitter. So he actually goes and sells the tape to 50 Cent. And then 50 Cent released it… it’s petty and it still haunts me to this day.”
The reality star continued in tears, “I was collateral damage in a beef that I had nothing to do with,” adding, “I became suicidal. I didn’t want to live anymore. I felt like I was damaged goods. Like no man would ever love me again. I felt like I had let my kids down tremendously.”
In 2015, Leviston sued 50 Cent for the leak, winning $2 million in damages. After losing the lawsuit, 50 Cent filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
