Danielle Olivera was seen raising concerns about Lindsay Hubbard not living with boyfriend Turner Kufe ahead of the recent birth of their baby girl, Gemma, in the just-released trailer for Summer House season nine. And during an interview last week, Lindsay confirmed that despite the arrival of their first child on December 8, she and Turner are still living separately.
As the 38-year-old looked ahead to the upcoming airing of what she says will be an “emotional” season nine, Lindsay addressed Danielle’s concerns about her “single momming,” shared her thoughts on moving in with Turner in the future, and took aim at her exes in a post shared to her Instagram Story.
“[Danielle and I] went to lunch like a month ago, and once we talked more in depth about the whole living situation, she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I completely understand your perspective now,” Lindsay revealed to PEOPLE on December 21. “I was like, ‘First of all, two years ago you’re telling me I’m moving too fast. Now you’re pushing me to move in before I’m ready.'”
Although Lindsay and Turner aren’t living together, she said Turner “has spent the night and has been by my side 24/7 for the entire past month.”
“And even though technically this is my apartment, this is our HQ for the home of our daughter and me. He basically brought over a bunch of clothes and toiletries and is essentially going between my apartment and his apartment, but rarely ever leaves me and Gemma,” she continued.
According to Lindsay, she didn’t want to put extra pressure on their relationship after getting pregnant just a few months into the romance.
“If there’s anything that I’ve learned from my past, especially in my last relationship, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. And when you get pregnant so quickly into dating, I didn’t want to put more pressure on our relationship than a pregnancy and a baby is already putting that —very big, lifelong pressure,” she shared. “I would love to say, ‘One step at a time.’ And, yes, it’s a little backwards and it’s a little out of order, but I wasn’t about to add to the to-do list.”
That said, a move “is being discussed.”
“My lease is up in June. We talk a lot about school districts and making those decisions based off of where we might want to send Gemma to school,” Lindsay explained.
For now, she’s looking forward to spending Christmas in New York City.
“We’re not really doing anything because we can’t. She’s too fresh and too new to be exposed to too many people right now; we can’t travel until she gets her vaccines, which is at two months,” she shared. “So we’re just going to have a very quiet, nice Christmas holiday at home.”
After welcoming daughter Gemma, Lindsay said she’s, understandably, “slightly sleep deprived,” but she’s feeling “great.”
“My heart is so, so full,” she gushed. “You always hear new parents say ‘I never knew love like this existed,’ and then it happens to you and you’re like, ‘I totally get it now.’”
As she looks forward to the upcoming premiere of Summer House season nine, Lindsay is excited to relive her pregnancy, especially after season eight featured her messy split from former fiance Carl Radke, 39.
“This is the first time in a couple of years that I feel good about a trailer and I feel excited to watch,” she admitted. “Last season was, for obvious reasons, difficult to watch. And even the season before that was also difficult for me. So, I’m really hopeful that this season is a good, positive, exciting season for me. I’m so in love with this little girl, and I miss her being in my belly. So getting to be able to watch that back on this season, I feel like it’s going to make me emotional.”
In other Lindsay Hubbard news, the longtime reality star recently took to her Instagram Story to shade her exes, most notably Stephen “Stravy” Traversie. As fans may recall, Lindsay infamously asked Stephen during season five, while complaining about his lack of effort in their relationship, “How many sandwiches have you made for me?”
She’d also told Andy Cohen, 56, on Watch What Happens Live that Carl hadn’t made her sandwiches, although she did give him credit for making other things.
“Didn’t even have to ask him for it,” Lindsay wrote, via Bravo’s The Daily Dish, along with a photo of herself enjoying a post-birth sandwich.
Summer House season nine premieres on Wednesday, February 12, at 9/8c on Bravo.
