International superstar Lionel Richie has announced a UK and European headline tour with ‘Say Hello To The Hits’ with one Scottish date.
Known for his smooth vocals and timeless classics, the award-winning musician will embark on a series of electrifying performances, kicking off with five arena dates across the UK before continuing into Europe for a summer of live shows.
Scottish fans will be among the first in the UK to experience this electrifying show.
‘Say Hello To The Hits’ kicks off at the SSE Arena in Belfast on May 31, shortly followed by the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on June 4, the singer’s only date in Scotland.
Richie will then hit the stage for a string of UK tour dates, gracing London’s iconic The O2 on June 6. Fans can also catch him at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield on June 8, and Utilita Arena Birmingham on June 9, before bringing the UK leg of the tour to a close at Manchester’s Co-op Live on June 12.
Richie returns to Glasgow after bringing major tours to Scotland for the last 23 years.
His last show in the country was at McDiarmid Park, Perth on June 3 2018, nearly seven years to the day of the upcoming Glasgow show. The ‘Say Hello To The Hits’ tour will see a new production, never seen before in the UK & Europe.
Richie, a Grammy Awards, Oscar, and Golden Globe winning icon, has sold over 125 million records worldwide. As one of the most celebrated figures in music history, his illustrious career spans over four decades, producing unforgettable anthems like ‘Hello’, ‘All Night Long’, ‘Say You Say Me’, ‘We Are The World’, ‘Easy’ and many more.
Renowned for his world-class showmanship and ability to connect with audiences across generations, Richie’s performances are a masterclass in both nostalgia and energy. His headline performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2015 drew the festival’s largest crowd of the year, cementing his place as a legendary live performer.
‘Say Hello To The Hits’ is set to be a magical tribute to Richie’s enduring legacy as one of music’s greatest songwriters and entertainers, and a true cultural icon.
Tickets will go on public sale starting Friday, 25 October at 10am BST via Ticketmaster, AXS, Alt Tickets, Gigantic and direct from each venue.
