An action-packed NFL Sunday that began early in the morning with a game in Germany ends Sunday night with a high-profile matchup between the 7-1 Detroit Lions and 6-3 Houston Texans.
The Lions enter the matchup as one of the hottest teams in football, having won six straight games, including four in which they scored at least 30 points.

On the flip side, the Texans enter the Sunday night showdown coming off a loss to the New York Jets last Thursday night. The Texans have lost two of their last three games but will look to get back on track against one of the league's best teams.
Will the Lions move to an incredible 8-1, or will the Texans get the big win to slow down Detroit? The staff at Newsweek Sports has their predictions.
Ricardo Sandoval: The Lions are arguably the hottest team in the NFL, and I expect them to continue riding that hot streak. Although the Texans are one of the best young up-and-coming teams in the NFL, this game may be too much for them against a Lions team hungry to prove they are the team to beat in the league.
Prediction: Lions 38, Texans 30
Matt Levine: We have a potential Super Bowl preview on Sunday night in Houston as the Texans and Lions square up. Detroit has looked like a dominant team this season, showing no signs of a letdown from last year. The Texans have been a little inconsistent, but they have one of the better offenses in the game. Each side will be looking to make a statement but I think Houston holds on to get a massive upset win.
Prediction: Texans 30, Lions 27
James Brizuela: The Texans may be at home, but they have been struggling a bit in their last three games. They face their toughest test yet in the surging Lions. Though Nico Collins could be back, it's not enough to stop the Lions. Jared Goff and Detroit are going to run away with this one.
Prediction: Lions 38, Texans 24
Noah Camras: The Lions are playing like the best team in the NFL right now, and are going against a Houston team that's sputtering after starting 5-1. This game will be high-scoring, but in the end, C.J. Stroud will lead his Texans to a home upset and massive win to remain among the elite teams in the NFL.
Prediction: Texans, 31, Lions 29
Valentina Martinez: Although Joe Mixon might give the Detroit defense some problems, I expect the Lions to continue their win streak on Sunday Night Football. Jared Goff will continue showing he is and should be an MVP front-runner.
Prediction: Lions 30, Texans 21
