Lizzo’s latest Halloween costume is giving upper echelon with a touch of Renaissance.
We’ve already seen the 36-year-old singer show off two costumes for the holiday, but her “face card” look might be her most opulent yet.
On Wednesday, Lizzo shared photos of herself dressed as a credit card with her face framed in the card’s cutout. She completed the “face card” look with a matching jumpsuit and Chanel shopping bags in both hands. The card’s expiration date is listed as “never declines.”
If you weren’t sure, Lizzo is referencing Beyoncé’s “Heated” from 2022’s Renaissance. During the breakdown of the fan-favorite track, Beyoncé raps, “Give me face, face, face, yah / Your face card never declines, my God.” Elsewhere in the track, she also repeats, “Like stolen Chanel, lock me up in jail.”
Beyoncé isn’t the only singer Lizzo paid tribute to for her 2024 Halloween costumes. She also introduced photos of herself dressed “Edward SZAhands,” a hybrid of the 34-year-old singer and 1990’s Edward Scissorhands.
“Introducing… Edward SZAhands - I been wanting to do this costume for YEARS & I finally pulled it off bitch,” Lizzo wrote on her Instagram on Thursday.
“It’s FINALLY Halloween.. this felt like the LONGEST week ever. It’s a strange year, there’s a lot of anxiety & anticipation in the air. I hope my costumes & shenanigans brought a little joy this year,” she wrote in a separate post. “I do this because it’s fun but I also do this because as an entertainer and artist I want to uplift the people. So HAPPY HALLOWEEN (finally!) have fun tonight & be safe.”
Lizzo debuted her first costume for spooky season earlier this week, dressing up as a tube of “LizzOzempic,” a reference to the South Park special “The End of Obesity” from May. The episode saw Eric Cartman being prescribed a weight-loss drug named after the “About Damn Time” singer.
