With over four decades of entertaining the nation on TV, Lorraine Kelly boasts an impressive CV that few can rival.
Tonight, she'll be all over the telly hosting Have I Got News For You while simultaneously making an appearance on the Royal Variety Show in front of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
It comes a month after she was honoured with a special ITV documentary on her career, Lorraine Kelly: 40 Unforgettable Years. Best known for her bubbly persona on Lorraine, over the years she's covered a number of significant events.
From reporting as TV-am's Scotland Correspondent during the Lockerbie disaster to helping launch GMTV in the 90s and co-hosting the ill-fated Daybreak, Lorraine has always been at the heart of the action.
However, off-camera, Lorraine, 64, is equally busy with her charity work, which earned her an OBE and later a CBE. She was also among the celebrities who participated in the 2011 BT Red Nose Desert Trek in the Kaisut Desert for Comic Relief, raising a whopping £1,375,037 for charity.
Despite this, she has experienced heartbreaking loss in her personal life, along with recent joy with her beloved daughter and husband of 31 years, Steve Smith.
So, who are Lorraine's husband Steve and her daughter Rosie? The happy pair met when Steve was working as a cameraman on TV-am, and Lorraine knew he was "the one" from the moment she first laid eyes on him. Speaking to Woman and Home, Lorraine once revealed: "He walked into the TV-am office 28 years ago where I was working as a reporter and he was part of the crew, and I thought, 'That'll do, I'm having that'."

Lorraine candidly shared: "We were staying in a tiny hotel in the middle of nowhere and I got him incredibly drunk on tequila before making my move. The way I remember it is that I leapt on him like a ninja and he had absolutely no defence!"
A couple of years down the line after saying 'I do', they welcomed their daughter Rosie into the world. Fast forward to today, and Lorraine is a doting grandma to Rosie's little baby Billie, who was born over summer.
Years earlier, Lorraine spoke openly about sometimes pondering "what might have been", still feeling the loss of a miscarriage 24 years on.
In a heart-wrenching confession made in 2000, she spoke about losing a baby, an event that happened eight years into her marriage with Steve. Reeling from the loss, Lorraine admitted she and her hubby felt time had slipped away for them to try for another baby.
In April, she candidly shared the profound effect it's had on her over the past two decades, confessing that she often feels as if she's living in an alternate reality, pondering what might have been. She acknowledged that as more individuals speak out about experiencing loss during pregnancy, the world is progressing.
"Sometimes I wonder what might have been, you've got this parallel life that didn't happen," she revealed in a recent interview. Speaking to Saga Magazine, the BAFTA-nominated host recalled: "I do remember vividly the time when someone said, 'Oh this is very common', they were trying to make me feel better, which made me feel worse. I thought oh my God, so many people feel like this."
Lorraine further commented that today's society is "more open" about discussing miscarriages. She continued: "You should be allowed to grieve and go through that whole process the way it suits you. Some people don't want to talk about it, and some do."
And back in 2021, Lorraine surprised her fans when she disclosed her actual name. Showing off her Covid vaccination card at the time, she informed her followers: "Vaccinated! So relieved! Easy peasy - didn't feel a thing - thanks so much to all the cheery volunteers and NHS staff who made it SO simple! ! Please please get vaccinated! ! We are so lucky to have the opportunity Xxx."
Fans were left scratching their heads when the beloved TV host's name appeared as 'Lorraine Smith' instead of 'Lorraine Kelly'. The mix-up sparked a flurry of comments, with one viewer confessing: "I had no idea your current surname was Smith! ! My full name is Lauren Kelly and I've been called Lorraine Kelly (or LK today! ! ! ) my entire life, my partner's surname is Smith so I may also end up a smith one day. Twinning."
Lorraine responded with a chuckle: "I am your evil twin." Another chimed in: "Genuinely never even thought about you having a surname until I saw this." Another fan added: "Me too - my brain couldn't cope with it."
