The success of Black Myth Wukong has jolted the Chinese video game industry into creating more high-quality experiences for the world. After last appearing at ChinaJoy 2024, Shanghai-based developer Ultizero Games has released a new action-packed gameplay trailer for its upcoming action RPG Lost Soul Aside, which releases in 2025 on PS5 and PC.
The new game is said to be inspired by modern Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry games, which is apparent from the combat in the gameplay trailer. We see the game's protagonist battle ice monsters, a giant wolf, and explore a snowy environment with an alien-looking companion.
We also see the hero partnering up with a female companion, who also joins his fights. That's just an NPC though, as Ultizero Games has confirmed that Lost Soul Aside will be a single-player game. Its premise states that its hero will embark on "an epic odyssey" to save his sister from "dimensional invaders."
To practice its lightning-fast moves, the game will include a training mode similar to the one found in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Players will have access to many elemental attacks too.
You can wishlist the game right now, and its simultaneous release on PC and PS5 is a further testament to Sony's newfound passion for multiplatform releases. Of course, don't expect Sony to release its first-party games like Intergalactic on PC at the same time as their console counterparts.
Lost Soul Aside will be released sometime in 2025 for PC and PS5.
