Love Island viewers have a gripe with presenter Maya Jama, who joined the show back in 2022, after the second series of All Stars premiered on 13 January
Love Island fans all have the same complaint about host Maya Jama.
The new series of All Stars kicked off last night [14 January] and UK audiences were glued to their screens as old favourites returned to the villa in an attempt to find love. However, it was presenter Maya Jama that caught everyone's attention this time around.
One person took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the show's leading lady and wrote: "Maya Jama is too hot to present this show."
They lightheartedly explained: "This sounds weird, but I'm sorry I must speak my truth. The presenter should not be clearing all the contestants like this every single season. It's distracting! Not to mention the guys always seem infinitely more interested in her than the women in the villa!"
Appears they are not alone in their opinion as many Love Island fans gathered to shower Maya with compliments and praise. "If I was on I would be using my recoupling speech to pick Maya, I would probably be kicked off but it would be worth it," said one viewer.
"She eats everyone up every single time it’s actually not fair, if I was on the show I would be fearing my outfit when she arrived," said another ITV fan.
Another person defended her role: "No! Her being hotter than all the participants is whyyy she is the perfect host! All the slo mo shots actually fit her and her being so much hotter than the contestants gives her the air of being qualified to oversee love island. They literally walk around half naked and flirt, why wouldn’t the host of that show be absolutely jaw dropping????"
Someone else couldn't help reminiscing over Maya's past iconic outfits: "Sending her in last time wearing the red flame dress was just cruel to all the women in there. You do your best, pick an outfit, get all glam... and then you're made stand next to Maya Jama. I think that was during the Casa Amor recoupling. I'm still obsessed with that look."
Others branded her a "baddie," joked that they would use their spot on the show to "fight for her" and quipped that "it's not her fault she's gorgeous".
Maya joined Love Island during the show's ninth season. The ITV dating show's past hosts saw the late Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore, wife of show narrator Iain Stirling, present the beloved British dating show.
