Former Love Island star Scott Thomas' twin Adam Thomas has spoken out amid a backlash against Elma Pazar.
Scott, 36, announced that he had decided to leave the All Stars villa in South Africa on Sunday night's episode of the ITV2 show. He had been coupled-up with Tina Stinnes, 29, but whilst discussing his experience after leaving, he said: "I had a connection with [her] but it wasn't fireworks."
He had expressed doubts about their romance on a few occasions and, after the latest recoupling, told Tina that he didn't expect further progression in their relationship. His exit then came after co-star Elma, 32, confronted him over the situation and suggested that Scott leave the villa.
Some viewers have criticised Scott for how he handled things with Tina, whilst there's also been a backlash against Elma by others. After the episode, Scott's brother Adam, 36 - who has defended him - issued a message on Instagram in which he called for viewers to "be kind" to Elma.
He wrote on Sunday night: "Before everyone starts coming for Elma just be kind people. I've been on the other end having to read comments about my brother and it's safe to say it's not nice! This is just a reality show. Tensions and emotions are running high. No one deserves to be judged over a 45 min episode!" He added in the post: "It's just entertainment to you guys but this isn't a soap. It's real people and they have feelings and so do their families."

Tina later suggested to pals including Elma that the romance was over. Elma questioned why Scott's relationships in the villa with Tina and India Reynolds didn't progress. Scott overheard her saying at one point: "Leave then, mate! You've had two f***ing blinding birds and you've said there's something missing from both of [those romances]. What do you want? So is someone gonna tell him cause I will."
Confronting him about his relationship with Tina moments later, Elma said: "If you're not happy Scott, then go home babe." He replied: "I will. Listen, I will go home." He then suggested that he would leave the next day, which he did.

Some fans have criticised Elma for the way she confronted Scott, with one viewer writing: "I like Elma but she shouldn't have said he needed to leave!" Another said: "Awful behaviour from Elma." A third simply wrote: "Get Elma out."
Others however defended her, with one supporter commenting amid the backlash: "Elma's delivery wasn't the best but I got what she meant." Another fan said: "Speak your truth Elma!" Whilst a third wrote: "I get Elma's side."
Love Island continues on Monday night from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
