Married At First Sight UK fans were left in tears on Tuesday night over Kristina Goodsell's heartbreaking admission during the final commitment ceremony.
Kieran Chapman, 28, from Newcastle was partnered with Kristina, 31, a dog walker from East Sussex. At first, the couple were one of the show's strongest 'marriages' but in recent episodes a 'petrified' Kieran has got cold feet and has started comparing Kristina to his ex, leaving his 'wife' frustrated and hurt.
Last week saw Kieran create a list comparing his ex and Kristina with only one quality different from the two, the fact Kristina is outgoing. Kieran decided to relay this information to a hurt Kristina, who stormed off over the revelation during a double date.
And in recent episodes, Kieran decided he wanted to spend the family and friends week separate from his 'wife' to gain insight as to whether he wanted to move forward with their relationship or not.
On Tuesday's episode, it was the final commitment ceremony and Kristina made a heartbreaking admission during the candid scenes. Kristina, who has previously described how her Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) has shaped her life and relationships, said: "I'm a lot, I know I am, I just want to be loved that's all it is, I just want to be loved."
Later, during the decisions, Kieran wrote "leave" and in a surprise twist Kristina had also wrote "leave" despite trying to fight for their relationship each week. Kristina said: "I have been so patient and so understanding and so respectful. The ball's been in his court for ages. So... I'm going to leave!"
The former couple's fellow co-stars were left in tears at the announcement while expert, Charlene Douglas, admitted: "Wow, you've both written leave so of course this is the end of the experiment for the two of you", she emotionally added: "I promised myself I wouldn't cry so I'm not going to!"
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to support Kristina and were also left in tears over her admission of "I just want to be loved". One person said: "Omg I’m in bits. Love Kristina she’s such a beautiful soul no agenda just wanted to find her future love and raised awareness of a condition I’d never heard about. I wish her the best life imaginable. Best person to ever enter #MAFSUK. Good luck Stina."
A different account put: "Kristina will find her forever person. She is absolutely lovely. Beautiful inside and out. #MAFSUK", another wrote: "Kristina is literally the definition of beautiful inside and out. I’m routing for her finding her forever person #MAFSUK" while another added: "Oh Kristina every single one of those words you said are so true!!! You are a beautiful person."
