A before and after of how well the burn marks came off the stove (Image: Rebecca Koncienzcy)
If you are like me, you will have been deep cleaning your house before Christmas.
While some may feel that is unnecessary pressure, I like to think of it as a deadline. And one of the tasks on my to do list was the stove top.
My cooker has had a couple of burn marks that just would not shift with my normal cleaner and antibacterial spray.
So when I had a spare 20 minutes, I broke out the Pink Stuff, "the miracle cleaning paste" and I was so happy I did.
Firstly, I wiped down the stovetop as usual, removing any food debris, and there was a coffee spill from the percolator. Then, I got out the pink paste and applied it generously to the stubborn marks.

I let it sit for a few minutes - probably only two minutes because I am impatient - then used a normal dish sponge to rub it in.
I used the scouring side and a little elbow grease to try to lift the stains, and to my surprise, it started to work.
It took me about seven minutes to scrub off the burn marks, and wiping away the cleaning product was so satisfying when I saw the gleaming cooker underneath.
I was so impressed with how easy it was I thought to myself why I hadn't thought about trying out The Pink Stuff sooner.

You can get a tub of The Pink Stuff for £1.50 at Asda and a little goes a long way, so you are going to get a lot of use out of one purchase.
But you can also buy it at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, The Range, B&M, Savers and Poundland.
And if you want to try out other Stardrops products, you can order a lot of the range on Amazon, including the Pink Stuff multi-surface cleaner and the cream cleaner.
And if you are looking for a Pink Stuff alternative, Elbow Grease All Purpose Paste has hundreds of five-star reviews on Amazon, although I have not tried it myself.
