MagicOS 9.0 makes a debut in China with new AI features; India launch imminent

Honor has pretty recently rolled out the MagicOS 9.0 running on the Android 15 operating system. The latest OS packs multiple AI-based features to deliver improved user experience. As of now, the MagicOS 9.0 is only available for the Chinese market. However, the speculations are that the OS will soon reach the Indian market as well.

New features introduced in MagicOS 9

MagicOS 9 has brought the Smart Capsules feature that is identical to Dynamic Islands that we saw in iPhones. The Smart Capsules will show criticial notifications, emergency alerts, and notifications, as well. Apart from that, the OS also brings Honor AnyDoor feature which is a gesture-based shortcut allowing the user to get related content on anything by simply circling it.

YOYO assistant could be dubbed one of the biggest highlights of the update as it gets activated in a single command and learns the routine of the user to manage system settings accordingly. The OS also brings Face Swap detection which will put a halt to fraudulent AI activities and make sure that the online interactions are safe and secure.

Regarding AI features, the AI Magic Photo Editor has been introduced, which lets users remove unwanted objects from a photo and even apply AI filters. AI Note feature of the latest update, lets the users summarise the key points from an important meeting in a single click.

In addition, the OS has also introduced AI translation, which will automatically translate languages for the user. Other features packed in the update are Cross-device security, dual-device messaging, travel assistance, smart fitness coach, home and car integration. Honor has not announced the exact release date for the launch of the latest OS in the Indian market. However, high chances are that the company will launch it by the end of this year or the beginning of the next one.
