Mired in the midst of No Nut November as we are, the debate over whether it's even worth doing is still an ongoing concern.
If you don't know what it is, the quick version is that a bunch of guys challenge themselves to go through the month of November without masturbating.
The proponents of this seasonal self-imposed challenge suggest that it gives you a plethora of benefits, including improving your mental discipline, despite some doctors questioning the upsides.
A urologist warned that trying to participate in No Nut November could actually 'cause a lot of stress and anxiety' because there are 'benefits to masturbation', while a doctor said that blowing your beans could actually help you with the mental side of your health.
However, some medical experts do think that No Nut November could be a good thing even if you just abstain for a week, you could perhaps call it Week Without W**king, as short periods of abstinence could boost your sperm count and testosterone.

The jury's out on whether or not there's much point in doing No Nut November, but perhaps the testimony of some no-nutters who stayed the course themselves could help sway you as to whether or not to give it a go next time around.
Hop on over to Reddit where No Nut November has its own dedicated group and you'll find people who apparently completed the challenge saying it left them feeling 'really good'.
One person claimed that they noticed the benefits most of all by working out during November, claiming it resulted in a 'good difference in your physique'.
They said you also 'learn self control and patience', and that it felt good to 'complete the challenge'.
Someone else said that making it to the end of the month 'made me feel accomplished' and they thought by the end they were 'mentally stronger' because they had greater self control.

Others said that getting through No Nut November made them more confident, though admitted their 'balls were aching' after a while.
Not everybody seemed to feel the benefits, as one man who completed the challenge said the impact was 'literally nothing besides knowing I passed while others didn't'.
As for how this all started, No Nut November has been going on for years now to the point that pretty much everyone knows it's a thing.
The earliest record of the term goes back to 2011 when it entered the Urban Dictionary, but it still wouldn't grow in popularity for a while yet.
Some think that Seinfeld star Larry David was the real creator of it all as he wrote an episode of the sitcom titled 'The Competition' where the main characters see who can last the longest without masturbating.
Maybe that's where someone got the idea from?
