Nathan got more than he bargained for when Maxine started flirting with him while doing DIY around her house.

But the home stay only brought Lacey and Nathan closer together and cemented his role within their family.

Each couple usually take it in turns to visit their in-laws.

But some viewers were worried that Nathan didn't visit his loved ones during the stay and were quick to ask why.

One wrote: "Does Nathan have any family? I always thought the couples went to both homes for homestay."

A second asked: "How come we didn't go to Nathan's homestay? Have we even seen his family?"

A third commented: "Why did Nathan not have honestay with his family?"

While a fourth said: "Are we ever going to see any of Nathan’s family or friends? Have I forgotten seeing Lacey meet them one on one?"

Someone else suggested: "Maybe his family/friends just don't want to be on the show (I certainly wouldn't) That said they still usually do a home stay though..."

However, Lacey has since revealed that they did visit Nathan's home in Somerset and they even got matching tattoos - but it was not shown.

One fan on Instagram asked: "Did you go to Nathan’s hometown?”

Lacey replied: “Yes I did indeed and we had the best time! We even got matching tattoos.”

She replied to another fan who asked a similar question: “We did go to Nathan’s for homestay, we got tattoos, went trampoline place! No idea why it’s not shown! But we had a wicked time at both homestays!”

At Lacey's home stay, E4 viewers were left cringing after her mum made some flirty comments about Nathan.

In one scene, Maxine told the camera: "If only he was 20 years older, I'd snap him up."

Last month, viewers watched as Lacey's mum and sister Paige divided fans during "meet the in-laws" week.

Fans hit out at "the mother in law from hell" after a disastrous visit.

She cornered Nathan in the kitchen and intensely quizzed him about whether he actually fancied Lacey - or sister Paige.

The barrage of questions continued over dinner, before the mother in law burst into tears when Nathan made a joke about her cooking.

Vegetarian Nathan 'bantered' that the chicken fajitas she had whipped up for them 'looked like they were from the bottom of the bin'.

Fans were aghast at how the visit went and felt sorry for Nathan, who suffers from ADHD.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan blasted: "Lacey’s mum = mother in law from hell."

Another added: "Laceys mum is MONSTER IN LAW."

A third chimed in: "Oh Lacey’s mum is awful the mother in law from hell I would be so embarrassed I feel so sorry for him."

But Lacey jumped to her mum's defence.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: "Hey everyone, wanted to clear a few things up, my mum did NOT know Nathan was vegetarian also she had no say in what we was eating, she just was told you're making fajitas!" she posted on her Instagram Story.

She added: "You need to remember it is edited for entertainment and to take it with a pinch of salt!"
