Matthew Perry's mother claims she had a premonition of her son's death

In a rare and emotional Today Show interview, Suzanne Morrison, mother of the beloved Friends star Matthew Perry, shared intimate memories of her last moments with her son.

Speaking alongside her husband, Perry's stepfather Keith Morrison, Suzanne opened up about their heart-to-heart conversation, revealing new insights into his state of mind prior to his untimely passing on October 28, 2023, from an accidental drug overdose.

Reflecting on their poignant exchange, Suzanne recalled Perry expressing a deep love and peace that she now sees as a possible premonition.

"He came up to me and said, 'I love you so much, and I'm so happy to be with you now,'" she shared on the Today Show, adding that this warmth in their connection had been rare in recent years.

"It was almost as though it was a premonition of something...but he said, 'I'm not frightened anymore.' And it worried me."

Perry was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home, and an autopsy later revealed the presence of ketamine, a hallucinogenic anesthetic, along with buprenorphine, a medication for opioid dependence.

In light of these findings, the Los Angeles Police Department initiated an investigation into the sources of these substances, leading to charges against five people, including two doctors and a woman dubbed the "Ketamine Queen."
