Maya Jama is getting in some last minute festive sunshine before getting back to work at the beginning of the New Year.

The 30-year-old television host will soon be back on screens - and waiting outside the Love Island villa - to interview returning contestants on the second season of the All Star version of the dating show. But before she gets back to work, Maya has been living it up on a luxury yacht - and sharing footage for fans to fawn over.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, the TV star revealed that she is enjoying some time in the sunshine and living in luxury on a expensive private yacht. Sharing a video clip of herself dancing in a bikini on the back of a boat, the host looked carefree and relaxed as she shimmied around to music.

With her hair flowing in the sea breeze, Maya looked a million miles away from the stress and worries of work. She is due to jet to South Africa in early 2025 as Love Island: All Stars returns to ITV on Monday 13 January with an as yet unconfirmed line-up - which is rumours to include Luca Bish, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Lucinda Strafford.

There had been fears that Maya was planning to quit Love Island having helmed the show since season nine of the long-running series started airing in January 2023. But the star herself hit back at the rumours to insist she planned to keep hosting the show for at least another year. Confronting reports online, the star lashed back in a social media post, writing: "I will be presenting Love Island next year and have no plans to leave right now. Filmed the promo a couple of days ago actually. Fake news is fake news-ing as usual."

It is not just Love Island that fans can watch the presenter giving excited feedback to contestants - as she was also recently unveiled as a judge on The Masked Singer after Rita Ora quit the show after five seasons - swapping her role in the UK for the USA version of the madcap series.

Speaking about her time in the judges chair, Maya explained that she found the process of trying to guess who is singing under elaborate costumed “A billion times harder” now that she's offering feedback to those on the stage. She said: “When you watch it at home on TV you think, ‘oh easy I know that’ but actually being in the studio, taking in every single clue, sometimes the clues have nothing to do with the obvious and you have to think outside 22 boxes! I think it's really challenging!”

Maya added: “I’ve found it really fun. I never know what's going to happen each day, it's been such a laugh. It did feel like the first day at school vibes and it feels like I'm in the biggest performing arts production ever. My mind’s blown at the costumes, the sets and the dancers who have to learn brand new routines for every performance. All of it is amazing. I went to a performing arts school and this is exactly what you dream of working on when you’re studying. This show’s got everything and everything is super impressive."
