Their baby is expected to arrive in March.
According to the outlet, Fox “found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting, and it made her want him to leave the trip early”.
The parents-to-be have reportedly not seen each other since Vail.
Fox also has three children — Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7, — with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
Meanwhile the rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, has one child, Casie Colson Baker, with his ex-partner Emma Cannon.
Fox announced the news of her pregnancy on November 12.
The Transformers actress, 38, made her grand return to Instagram with a photoshoot picture of herself covered in black paint, tagging her rapper beau over a visible baby bump.
“Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back,” she captioned the post alongside baby and heart emojis.
The second photo in the carousel was of her positive pregnancy test.
Fox turned comments off on the post.
The news comes just over a year after Fox revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in a newly published volume of her poetry called Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.
It featured two poems detailing a miscarriage she had when she was 10 weeks pregnant with Kelly’s child.
“I want to hold your hand/hear your laugh,” she wrote in one poem about the loss of her baby girl.
“But now I have to say goodbye.”
In one graphic image, Fox writes: “I close my eyes and imagine holding you tight against my chest as they rip you from my insides.”
Elsewhere, she writes: “I will pay any price/Tell me please/What is the ransom/For her soul?”
Fox was married to Beverly Hills, 90210 star Brian Austin Green from 2010 until 2021.
She and Machine Gun Kelly first went public in 2020 after meeting in Puerto Rico on set of the crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.
