Megan Fox opened up about her past miscarriage just one year before she made her pregnancy announcement.
The Hollywood star announced that she and Machine Gun Kelly, 34, are expecting their first child together with a nude maternity photo where she was covered in a black oily substance and a second picture where she shade her positive pregnancy test.
Megan, 38, added a touching caption to the post as she referred back to the baby the couple previously lost as she wrote: "Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back," as she added an angel and heart emoji. Megan also added a soundtrack to the post of MGK song Last November which was penned about the miscarriage.
Past comments Megan made about the miscarriage have now resurfaced in the wake of her announcement. A throwback interview with Good Morning America at the time saw her describe the experience as she said she had "never been through anything like that before in my life."

Megan also detailed the miscarriage in her 2023 book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. In the book Megan described the ultrasound of a baby girl who was 10 weeks and a day old. She wrote: "Maybe if you hadn't... maybe if i had... I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh, but now / I have to say / goodbye," and later adds, "I close my eyes and imagine holding you tight against my chest as they rip you from my insides."
In a different part of the book she also wrote: "I will pay any price. Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?" While the couple had not discussed the loss of their baby prior to the book release MGK did dedicate his Billboard Music Awards performance in May 2022 to Megan and added "This is for our unborn child."
Megan also previously had an ectopic pregnancy years earlier, which she spoke about when talking to Women's Wear Daily last year as she also discussed her miscarriage. She said: "That experience was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated it being, and I’ve really analyzed ‘why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’

"And so that love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering. So I put it into a lot of writing. He’s written about them in his albums as well, he wrote a couple of songs about the miscarriage. So it just felt like something that I could address publicly because it’s been addressed in one way through him, so I have a space to express as well."
Both Megan and MGK are parents already. Megan shares sons Noah, 10, Bodhi, nine, and Journey, six, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Machine Gun Kelly has a daughter Casie Colson Baker, 15, with ex Emma Cannon.
