Megan Thee Stallion Launches Chicas Divertidas Premium Tequila

Chicas Divertidas is now available to purchase on the official website.

The self-proclaimed “Cognac Queen” is adding a new signature spirit to her brand. Megan Thee Stallion has officially entered the alcohol business with Chicas Divertidas premium tequila. Launched earlier this month in alignment with the Grammy winner’s 30th birthday, the new offering is available in both blanco and reposado finishes.

According to a press release, Chicas Divertidas is described as a refined tequila, crafted from single-source, 100% Blue Weber agave, harvested at peak maturity from the red volcanic highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. It is produced at Casa Centinelam, a distillery preserving tradition since 1904, which benefits including volcanic soil and a cooler climate yielding a naturally sweeter agave.

The fun and colorful bottle is inspired by the Angel’s Trumpet flower, and features cuts and grooves inspired by the agave plant and gradient hues of orange, pink, red, and purple. A dagger-pierced heart crowns the bottle representing the brand’s efforts to keep it cute, classy, and cut-throat.

“As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I knew I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savored with my Hotties,” the Houston rapper expressed in a statement.

“Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making, and I’m so proud to take this next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and launch this brand. I know the Hotties are ready, it’s time to give them a drink made by me! I’m excited to share this labor of love with you all and hope you are inspired to enter your CHICAS ERA!”

The “Plan B” performer confirmed her plans to launch the tequila brand in April 2024 while speaking on a panel for ADWEEK’s Social Media Week. In a Club Shay Shay interview with Shannon Sharpe in July, Megan Thee Stallion revealed Beyoncé was a major influence in her latest venture.

“Beyoncé is actually the person that inspired me to get my own tequila,” she shared before explaining how she decided on the agave-derived spirit instead of other options. “Because I used to be the cognac queen. I still am the cognac queen. But as much as I used to enjoy cognac, and I’ve promoted a lot of people’s liquor brands, she was like, ‘The next time I see you, you better have your own. You need to have your own alcohol.’”
