As expected, Megan Thee Stallion has taken legal action against a blogger who’s accused of acting “on behalf of” Tory Lanez to spread “falsehoods” on social media.
“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” Megan said in a statement. “I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
In a notice detailing the civil action, as viewed by Complex on Wednesday, Alex Spiro, an attorney for Megan, accuses Milagro Elizabeth Cooper (a.k.a. Milagro Gramz) of carrying out a “campaign of harassment and cyberbullying” in connection with Lanez’s 2022 shooting case conviction.
“For years, you and other bloggers have acted on behalf of Mr. Peterson (aka Tory Lanez) as an online rumor mill churning out falsehoods about Ms. Pete to your tens of thousands of social media followers,” Spiro said to Gramz, who also uses the Mobz World name. “You and other bloggers are a mouthpiece and puppet for Mr. Peterson, with a vendetta against Ms. Pete committed to tearing her down at all costs regardless of the truth.”
Spiro continued, “Since Mr. Peterson was indicted in 2020 for felony assault with a deadly weapon after shooting Ms. Pete, to his later conviction in December 2022, up through today, you have done Mr. Peterson’s public bidding to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false and defamatory statements about Ms. Pete on your online platform, for no other reason than to bully, harass and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.”
The letter sees Spiro outlining a number of allegations, including that the blogger in question promoted a pornographic deepfake video of Megan on X, and more recently, that she spread the false claim that the gun from the shooting case was missing. Per Spiro, the firearm “remains in the custody of” the LAPD.
Earlier this week, Spiro called Lanez’s appeal effort “dead on arrival.” He also accused Lanez of “spinning up these nonsense bloggers from jail,” arguing that doing so was futile.
The 24-page lawsuit, also viewed by Complex, further details Gramz’s alleged harassment, calling her “a well-known online social media grifter who traffics in false and sensationalist narratives.” Her actions have led to “a negative effect on [Megan’s] mental and emotional state,” the suit alleges, with the total damages set to be finalized at trial.
Specific counts alleged in the suit include promotion of an altered sexual depiction, cyberstalking, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.
“[Megan] is aware of your conspiratorial relationship with [Lanez] and knows you are a paid surrogate of [Lanez],” Spiro said in his letter to Gramz, dated Oct. 29. “Your conduct has repeatedly confirmed this.”
