Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham have had one of the most talked-about friendships, but according to recent reports, it seems their relationship has reached an irreparable point.
According to royal commentator Ingrid Seward, the two women are "no longer speaking," and the rift appears to be final. The distance between Meghan and the former Spice Girl may be related to both women's professional agendas and their different approaches to the media.
Seward mentioned that despite any attempts at reconciliation, Victoria Beckham is simply too busy to repair her relationship with Meghan.
"Victoria is actually too busy. She's got a business. She's got a very successful husband. She's got houses all over the place. She's got children," Seward noted, emphasizing that Victoria probably doesn't have the time to think about mending the broken relationship.
Competition between the two on the big screen
The former singer is currently in the middle of producing her Netflix series, The House of VB, which follows her life as she manages her fashion and beauty empire while being a mom and wife in the public eye. The show began production in August, but a release date has not yet been revealed.
On the other hand, Meghan is equally busy with her own project on the streaming platform. It's said that the Duchess is "furious" about Victoria's show, as she also plans to launch her own cooking series for 2025, tied to her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
"Meghan is annoyed because Victoria has beaten her to the punch with her Netflix show," Seward stated.
Furthermore, the commentator suggested that Meghan would be angry but could never show it publicly, as, being an actress, she knows that displaying such emotions would be inappropriate.
The differences between them go beyond their professional careers
The distance between the Beckhams and the Sussexes seems to go beyond professional differences.
Seward commented, "The Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, but for the obvious reasons that we all know, Meghan and Harry are on the decline, not the ascent." This comment points to the Sussexes' declining popularity in recent years, especially with their departure from the British royal family and media controversies.
Although the two women met and became close over the years, it seems their paths have now diverged, and there are no signs that they will reconcile anytime soon.
