The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's latest documentary series hit our screens on December 10, drawing fans worldwide to Netflix for a peek at Polo, a docu-series exploring the glitzy world of the equestrian sport adored by the Prince. Although the show didn't deliver the same explosive impact as their 2022 documentary and lacked revelations about his aversion to Royal life, it did offer viewers a unique glimpse into one of Duchess Meghan's hidden talents.
The five-episode series followed some of the world's top polo players in the lead-up to the 2024 US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. The series also gave Prince Harry a chance to flaunt his own equestrian skills when he participated in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge charity match for his charity Sentebale - the very event where his wife Meghan showcased her impressive Spanish language skills.

Surprised by the disclosure, an impressed Adolfo exclaimed: "Really? " Before the pair began engaging in a rapid exchange in Spanish.
Meghan Markle revealed her connection to Argentina, saying, "I lived there about 20 years ago. In Palermo Viejo. Las Canitas too," according to a translation. It's thought that Meghan's fluency in Spanish comes from her time at Northwestern University, where she interned at the US. Embassy in Buenos Aires and from studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, reports the Express.
"That's great. That's where the polo fields were," he commented, to which the Duchess of Sussex expressed her particular fondness for "the 25th of May," Argentina's national day. At the end of their conversation, Cambiaso cheekily asked Prince Harry, "Do you speak Spanish? ", prompting laughter from Meghan who wrapped an arm around her husband and confidently said "Yes".
Caught off guard, Harry sheepishly admitted: "He knows I don't! " but then conceded, "Well, yes. A little, a little."

Both Meghan and Harry had visited the South American country in August for a four-day tour upon the invitation of Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez.
During their visit, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle brushed up on their Spanish at a primary school class in Santa Fe's Colegio La Giraldaon on the second day of their tour. This included Harry engaging with the children by asking their names, while Meghan chatted about their five year old son, Archie, with an enthusiastic youngster.
Later in the tour, Meghan surprised attendees when she delivered a speech in Spanish during a panel discussion aimed at empowering Afro-Colombian women. In a seemingly spontaneous moment, Meghan took off her earpiece and began to address the audience directly in their native language, expressing her "deep appreciation for the Colombian hospitality. She praised the culture and history of the country, describing the visit as a dream and highlighting the strong sense of community she felt."
