Meghan Markle shares emotional video following LA wildfires

A psychologist has labelled Meghan Markle's recent Instagram video, where she arranges signed merchandise for a young girl affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, as "rehearsed" yet suggests that the Duchess may have formed a "real connection" with the wildfire victim.

The 43-year-old shared an Instagram reel earlier this week detailing how Billie Eilish, the 23-year-old American singer, sent signed items for a 15-year-old girl whose house was destroyed in the fires.

Meghan, who resides in California with Prince Harry, disclosed that they encountered the girl's mother during a visit to a community ravaged by the fires.

Psychologist Adam Lyons reviewed the video, telling the Express: "There's nothing repeated or unusual about her gestures here. She is, however, acting or presenting - in the sense that nobody receives a package and immediately turns their camera on to film it."

He continued: "She definitely looks natural, but natural in the way an actor or someone performing to camera would look."

In the video, Meghan expresses gratitude to several individuals, including Maroon 5's lead vocalist and his spouse, for their assistance. She said: "Huge thank you, Billie Eilish. This is going to mean so much to her, and honestly to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys helped get this over the line, to everyone who's showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what's happened in California."

A body language expert has discussed the lengths Meghan Markle went to in order to secure certain items, stating: "Overall, you have to think about why somebody would put in this much effort to help somebody get a single t-shirt."

They suggested that while Meghan may have formed a genuine connection and felt inspired to go above and beyond, her decision to film the process indicates it was more about self-promotion than altruism. The Duchess of Sussex appeared emotional in the video as she recounted contacting a mother and daughter whose home was reduced to ashes by devastating fires that destroyed over 12,000 homes.

Opting for a casual look, Meghan wore a sweatshirt adorned with the names of her children - Archie and Lilibet - on the collar and chose to appear without makeup. The sweatshirt, embroidered by female-owned Chicago brand Club Chainstitch, added a personal touch.

Meghan Markle's appearance may have been a tad rehearsed

A psychologist and dating expert also weighed in, saying: "This video is done to show that she is a good person that really cares. It comes across as natural, and it isn't forced - but it is a naturally rehearsed video."
