Rick Hoffman arrives in Windsor ahead of the Royal wedding

Rick Hoffman and Megan Markle were colleagues for almost a decade on the show Suits, which has had a revival of success since it dropped on Netflix last year.

However, the Louis Litt actor appeared unimpressed when it was suggested that his former colleague's royal marriage could have contributed to its ever-growing popularity.

When asked by KFC Radio hosts if he ever thought Meghan would be a royal, Rick shared: [She was] Very professional and very prepared and intelligent.

"Would anyone ever think they are going to be…you know. Would I ever think I was going to work as an actor?"

One of the hosts continued, referring to the show's recent success: "You know, thank God Meghan Markle married Harry, and this all happened."

Rick quickly steered the topic back to him and quipped: "If I hadn't shown up that day. I wouldn't have been cast in Suits. There was that possibility."

Meghan and Harry started dating in 2016 after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. The news eventually made it into the press the following October.

Harry later proposed to the actress in November 2017, which saw her leave her role as Rachel Zane after seven seasons.

Suits would run for two more seasons after Meghan left, before ending in 2019.

The series has been a hit amongst fans on Netflix since it landed on the streaming site, with the show topping the top 10 most watched list for a month in 2023.

Much to the excitement of fans, the Suits cast all reunited at the Golden Globes in January this year, but one royal star didn't make it to the get-together on the red carpet.

Meghan was sadly not in attendance like the rest of her co-stars.

And when one of her former cast mates was asked about her absence, they didn't mince their words.

Actress Gina Torres, who played the tough-talking managing partner at the fictional law firm, was chatting to reporter Marc Malkin and said that the Suits squad have a group chat which is still thriving.

She explained that they were all "texting each other" incessantly after being asked to present an award together at the Golden Globes, adding: "Our text thread is insane right now, it's exciting."

Malkin then asked who had got in touch with Meghan to request her presence - and Gina gave a brutally honest answer.

She responded: "We don’t have her number. We just don’t."
