Melissa Gorga Pushes Back at Andy Cohen’s RHONJ ‘Update’ Timeline: ‘That’s a Really Long Time’

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is worried about her job.

When Melissa heard that Executive Producer Andy Cohen had suggested that there may not be any decision about RHONJ Season 15 until 2026, Melissa lost her mind.

“Oh my God, why?” Melissa asked. “I just heard that. Why? That’s a really long time. Even if I’m a part of it or not a part, that’s a really long time.”

Melissa Gorga thinks 2026 is too long to wait

Following a particularly volatile Season 14, Bravo called a “pause” on the show. It’s tough to film a show and a reunion if certain people refuse to be in the same room with their castmates. Bravo has to do something, and rumors have been flying ever since the “reunion” about recasting part or all of the cast.

Sadly, the cast is split into two factions. OG Teresa Giudice’s cohort includes Jennifer Aydin and the girl who just wants to be with the “cool kids,” Jackie Goldschneider.

On Melissa’s side, we have Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, Danielle Cabral, and Jennifer Fessler. Dolores Catania is Switzerland and remains friendly with both sides.

As recently as December 16, Andy told Us Weekly that no update was forthcoming on the RHONJ cast. “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he said. “I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”

Meanwhile, Melissa feels strongly that the decision can’t wait until 2026. “We have to have news before then,” she said. “I think he would lose everyone … unless they were fully recasting [and] need that much time to figure it out.”

But for continuity, Melissa hopes they don’t recast the whole show. “I feel like they need to keep a couple of familiar faces if you ask me,” she added.

Now you can buy Melissa’s famous “sprinkle cookies”

During the show’s extended hiatus, Melissa’s been keeping busy launching her new sprinkle cookie business, Sprinkle by MG.

“I’ve had the idea for years,” she said. “I was actually going to do it with another company, and the deal kind of fell through. And then they put us on pause, and I have all this time now. It just kind of put me in overdrive of like focusing on me a little bit and not just The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And I just dove right in.”

Only a week in, her cookie company was shipping seven pallets of cookies per day. Bethenny Frankel’s positive online review of the cookies didn’t hurt either.

“Timing is everything,” Melissa told Andy during her December 18 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “It all happens for a reason, I believe that. I think people miss Jersey. So they are so excited by this.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
