Mia Thornton wants to hold Karen Huger accountable.
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star explains to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” why she shared her infamous “butt dial” story about castmate Huger that inferred the latter had allegedly been unfaithful to husband Ray Huger.
“I did because I just felt like it was just fitting for the time,” Thornton, 39, cast of her decision to tell the story during a girls’ trip to Lake Norman, NC, that aired in the Oct. 27 “RHOP” installment. “It was not planned at all.”
There were two factors that contributed to the Bravolebrity’s desire to spill the beans about 61-year-old Karen’s purported past.
Thornton’s friend, Joy — who was present for a raucous night out with Karen in 2021 — attended a cast dinner filmed for the episode, therefore she was available to corroborate the tale on camera.
Plus, the self-proclaimed “Grande Dame” had been clashing with Thornton’s childhood pal, Jacqueline Blake, during the vacation, repeatedly calling the new “friend of” the cast a “liar” without evidence of deception.
“She had spent the entire day coming after my girl … I just felt like she was trying to accuse Jacqueline of being a liar and that she’s not telling the truth and that she makes things up,” Thornton tells “Virtual Reali-Tea.”
“And I’m like, ‘No, actually Karen, you’re the one not telling the truth. You’re the one butt-dialing people with … the truth.’”

Blake, Thornton and “RHOP” vet Gizelle Bryant have all claimed that Karen has a history of making calls to her castmates while tipsy.
“The funny story is when you left, you butt-dialed us,” Thornton told Karen on-camera. “And you said … you were with someone else and you said, ‘Those girls think I’m with Ray.’”
Karen — who has been married to Ray for decades — said she had no recollection of ever making a statement like that.
In a preview for Sunday’s episode, Ashley Darby says she wholeheartedly believes Thornton and Joy’s account.
“The streets have been alive with some of Karen’s forays. I’ve heard some things, seen a couple things,” she says in a confessional. “So I believe with every fiber of my being that Mia and Joy are telling the truth.”

In the same sneak peek, Karen admits that she and Ray have been experiencing martial strife. However, she makes it clear that she appreciates the support he’s shown in the wake of her DUI arrest in March.
“We were going through it before. We were having our moment. You have moments in your marriage, you know? But he didn’t waver … he’s my soldier,” she explains.
“Ray has my back. He’a always been there for me and I love him for that. But we’re human and we are going through it and we are working on our marriage.”
According to both Thornton and Bryant, Karen has also been working on not making calls after cocktails since her alcohol-infused brush with the law.
“Listen, Karen probably has me on [her] do-not-disturb [list], OK? So no, I have not [received alleged drunk calls lately]. And I feel like she’s being a little more cautious with her cellular device,” Thornton says.
“And it’s good that she’s doing that because it’s necessary. Stop randomly calling people drunk and then say you’re not drunk. Like, which one is it? … There’s nothing wrong with drinking. Just don’t drive.”
Meanwhile, Bryant, 54, jokingly told us that she “actually [misses]” such correspondence from Karen.
“You never know what you’re going to hear,” she recalled from her spirited conversations with the La Dame fragrance founder. “You never know what she’s going to say.”
In July, per docs obtained by People, Karen asked the court to dismiss her DUI case. Prosecutors are opposing the motion which has yet to be ruled by the judge.
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
