Michael Douglas may be an Academy Award winner, but he's also a proud dad. The 80-year-old actor posted two photos on Instagram of himself with his daughter, Carys Douglas. Carys, who is the second child Douglas shares with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, is attending the prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and the photos showcased some classic New England foliage in the background. "Visiting my daughter Carys at school on a fall Sunday!" the Wall Street actor wrote in his caption.
Carys was quick to comment on the post, writing, "I had the best time with you Dadda ❤️," and she wasn't the only one to notice the sweet picture. One fan noted that Carys "looks like a mixture" of her mom and dad. Another follower thought that the picture was a "Lovely papa and daughter photo." Actress Kathryn Newton, who starred alongside Douglas in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, liked the post and simply commented, "Awwww!"
Carys is the younger of Douglas and 55-year-old Zeta-Jones' two children. Their son, Dylan, also attended and graduated from Brown. As an "older dad", the actor has spoken publicly about being mistaken for a grandparent rather than a parent to his kids. The Basic Instinct actor often posts about his children on social media. In August, Douglas posted a birthday tribute to Dylan, where he wrote, "Wow @dylan__douglas! 24! You're moving fast my son! Wishing you a very happy birthday from a proud Father!" He also posted a sweet family photo tribute to Zeta-Jones on Mother's Day. "Happy #MothersDay to you all, and especially you darling! You deserve it and we all love you so much @catherinezetajones ❤️"
Douglas also shares a son, actor Cameron Douglas, with his ex Diandra Luker.
