Mike Shouhed is facing backlash after seemingly raising the price of a rental property amid the devastation in Los Angeles.
After the 46-year-old Shahs of Sunset alum attempted to have former fiancée Paulina Ben Cohen‘s assault and battery lawsuit against him thrown out, despite the shocking video footage that appeared to chronicle his “brutal” attack, he was accused of price-gouging victims of the wildfires.
In a screenshot reshared by Bravo Snark Side on Instagram, it was confirmed that a $10,500 per month listing, seemingly under Mike’s name, had been removed on October 26, 2024, and it was re-listed on January 12 for $16,500.
“Speaking of landlords price gouging in the LA fires.. Of course, it’s Mike Shouhed,” the Pretty Corrupt Podcast had written in its post on Instagram.
After the post was shared, commenters reacted with fury, lashing out at Mike for his potential attempt at taking advantage of those impacted by the fires.
“Do you have the address of the property? You can report him for price gouging to the CA government,” one person noted.
“Wow!” another exclaimed as someone else admitted that Mike’s apparent behavior was “not shocking.”
Another person said that they had always had a bad feeling about the former reality star.
“He gives me major ick and now even more what a slime ball in every sense of the word,” they fumed.
“Once putrid — always putrid,” stated someone else.
Then, another person added, “Wow. Scumbag. No heart. But we already knew that.”
Over the past week in Los Angeles, at least 24 people have succumbed to the wildfires raging through the region and more than 12,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted.
