MILO Ventimiglia has lost his Malibu home in the LA wildfires, seven years after his This Is Us character eerily foreshadowed the tragedy.

Actor Milo, 47, who is preparing to welcome his first child, spoke about the emotional toll of losing his home while speaking outside the ravaged property.

Like many others affected by the wind-driven blazes, Milo returned to his street after evacuating and described the heartbreak of what he saw.

He told CBS News: "You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not and then you see your neighbors houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks.

Milo and his pregnant wife, Jarah Mariano, had evacuated on Tuesday, watching from security cameras as flames from the Palisades Fire devastated their home.

The couple managed to grab what they could, but were unable to take everything, including the crib and other items in their baby’s nursery.

In the NBC drama, Milo played Jack Pearson, who tragically died of smoke inhalation after his home burned down in a February 2018 episode.

The SAG winner reflected: "You know, it's not lost on me, life imitating art."

He previously recalled a particularly challenging moment from filming seven years ago, while speaking with Entertainment Weekly.

Milo said: "Your live effects crew that were in charge of it were so responsible, but still, when you're staring at a seven-foot wall of flames, it's hard not to be completely intimidated by the brutal, fierce fear of what that represents."

But unlike his fictional counterpart Jack, Milo remains safe, with his priorities firmly in place.

He said: "We got good friends and we got good people we're working with and we'll make do. Wife and baby and dog, most important."

LA wildfire spreads towards Kardashian enclave as celebs including Paris Hilton count cost of blaze

The fires, fuelled by hurricane-force winds and dry conditions, have wreaked havoc, leaving at least five dead and 70,000 people evacuated.

According to Fox LA, the Palisades Fire continues to wreak havoc with no signs of slowing down.

As of 2.15pm local time, new figures reveal the fire has scorched 19,978 acres, destroyed 5,316 structures, and remains at zero per cent containment.

Firefighters are working around the clock, but the scale of destruction and lack of progress in containment paint a grim picture for the days ahead.

Declared a state of emergency, the infernos have consumed parts of Malibu, the Hollywood Hills, and Runyon Canyon, turning the region into a fiery battleground.

President Joe Biden has responded to the crisis, directing the Department of Defense to deploy additional firefighting personnel and equipment.

For now, the Owen family remains scattered, with Emma and their daughters staying in a hotel, while Mark shelters at his music studio with some of their pets.

“Our house is under threat again; none of the fires are contained,” Emma said.

“Can’t wait to have my family back together again.”

The origins of the Palisades fire and Eaton fire are still unknown and are under investigation.

But the Palisades blaze is believed to have started in a backyard and then quickly spread in the dry bushes in the mountainous hills.

At least three million homes and businesses across Los Angeles County are without power, according to Southern California Edison, an electrical service company.

Some of those homes belong to celebrities, with Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, Miles Teller, and Anthony Hopkins among those to lose their abodes.
