Racquel Chevremont is a model-turned-RHONY star. The reality TV newbie spent most of her twenties posing for photoshoots, but bosses always edited out a key feature on her face.

The Real Housewives of New York City follows Racquel Chevremont as she navigates friendships, glam parties and professionalism, alongside her co-stars, but there were times her true self wasn’t accepted.

Racquel Chevremont grew up as model

Racquel Chevremont grew up modelling for clothing brands, and still models to this day. However, she didn’t do a lot of runway work during her successful career throughout the 1990s.

She signed with Elite Models in 1993, and now works as an art curator and advisor. Yet Nivea, Benetton, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Fila, and L’OrĂ©al are just some of the big names on her resume.

The RHONY star was first discovered by photographer and model scout Steve Landis She told GLAAD: “As a model I’m used to a very controlled image, this [filming for RHONY] is just raw. It’s a little scary.”

Key facial feature was ‘edited out’

Racquel said it was possible that some would have come across her work in magazines. “But you might not recognize me because they took my freckles out a lot,” she confessed to Bravo.

Chevremont added, “Yeah, back then, freckles were a no-no. Who knew?” While it took her a minute to realize they’d removed her usual face freckles, she “didn’t care” at the time.

One photo where they removed her freckles was a Bobbi Brown campaign, in which she became recognized as the “Bobbi Brown girl”. Fans say they were “mesmerized” by her beauty back then.

Her daughter, Elle, has inherited her freckles gene, while she also has a 17-year-old son named Corey Jr. Bravo fans will remember Elle on the show, as Racquel helped her make Connecticut pasta!
