Award-winning actress Demi Moore's daughters could be seen cheering and jumping up and down in a video showing their reaction to her first Golden Globes win.
As the 62-year-old US actress picked up the award for best actress in a motion picture musical or comedy for her role in the body horror The Substance she said she had been at "kind of a low point".
Her daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis – Scout, Tallulah and Rumer – all posted a video to their social media pages showing the moment they watched her win on TV during the 82nd annual awards ceremony in California on Sunday.

X)Scout commented "She did it", with Rumer saying she was "so proud" of her mother, adding: "I love you so much. So well deserved." Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul said in the comments: "This makes me so happy. Way to go Demi !!! Thrilled that you and your beautiful family can celebrate in your brilliance. Big hugs to you all."
Demi, whose win is likely to make her a frontrunner for the Oscars, beat stars including Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo, Nightbitch’s Amy Adams and Challengers actress Zendaya to take home the award. During an emotional speech, Demi, whose character confronts the harsh reality of ageing in Hollywood in The Substance, said: "Thirty years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress and, at that time, I made that mean that this wasn’t something that I was allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that I couldn’t be acknowledged.
"I bought in, and I believed that, and that corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete. I’ve done what I was supposed to do. And as I was at kind of a low point, I had this magical, bold, courageous, out-of-the-box, absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called The Substance, and the universe told me that you’re not done."
She added: "And I’ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting is – in those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough. I had a woman say to me ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’ And so today I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong."
The Substance, directed by French film-maker Coralie Fargeat, focuses on a Hollywood star, played by Demi, who considers a new treatment to look younger. It received a 13-minute ovation when it was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. Demi, known for her roles in films like Ghost (1990) and GI Jane (1997), signed to Elite Models as a teenager, before taking acting classes and landing her first film role at the age of just 19.
Hollywood actor Bruce Willis, 69, who stepped back from his career in 2022 after being diagnosed with a condition affecting his cognitive abilities, was married to Demi for 13 years before their divorce in 2000. Demi played Madison Lee in the 2003 action comedy film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and she is also known for starring in films including Indecent Proposal (1993), The Juror (1996), and Striptease (1996).
