From album updates to subtle disses, here's what Drake had to say.
November 25, 2024 10:42am
Drake went live this weekend on a Kick stream with Canadian streamer xQc. The Sunday night stream was billed as a $500K giveaway/ gambling session, a way of saying thank you to his loyal fans. However, it appears there were more interesting things to discuss on the docket.
The livestream has since gone viral, with several observers picking up gems from the session that Drizzy fans would definitely want to know, as well as both subtle and blatant shots taken at past and current adversaries, including one from his hometown.
From his thoughts on the current state of rap, to “fairytales,” to going on tour the same day as K. Dot’s Super Bowl performance, check out the over 2-hour full stream above, or simply take in a few highlights from Drake’s livestream with xQc below.

Kendrick Lamar
Drake subtly acknowledged his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar during the live stream. While not mentioning his opponents name, it was pretty clear that he was speaking on the release of Lamar’s surprise album, GNX, when he shared, “I’m here, as you can see, fully intact. Mind, body, and soul. In case you are wondering, right? You need facts to take me out. Fairytales won’t do it..”
This likely refers to Drake’s insistence that he’s never been a pedophile, an accusation K. Dot leveled against the superstar on his massive track, “Not Like Us.” Drake has also called Kendrick a liar for claims made on diss track “Meet The Grahams” that Drizzy has a secret daughter.

“Rap music is…”
Drake, coming off of his 2024 “20 v. 1” battle against several Hip-Hop artists, now has a different take on the culture, believing that “Rap music is weird now anyway.”
This follows Drizzy turning his attention toward pop and latin collaborations as of late, as he appeared on both “Hot Uptown” and “Uuugly” from Camila Cabello’s C,XOXO and Chino Pacas’ “Modo Capone.”

The Weeknd
Drake was also clear that he didn’t want to hear anything from fellow Canadian pop star The Weeknd, telling the host to “switch this song” when his 2016 hit “Starboy” was played. He also made it a point to call himself a “real 6ixer,” a nod to their Toronto roots that dismisses The Weeknd as a rep for the popular city.
Following The Weeknd taking shots at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’ song “All to Myself,” Drizzy returned fire with a dig at the crooner on “Family Matters,” and their issues have clearly been left unresolved.

Steve Lacy
Steve Lacy was also on the hit list, seemingly for no other reason than supporting his Compton brethren at The Pop-Out concert this summer.
As the host enjoyed a stream of “Bad Habit,” even singing along, Drake chimed in with “This guy’s like a fragile opp, it is a good song, though.” When asked to elaborate, the artists simply replied, “Chat knows what I’m talking about. Fragility.”
Lacy reacted via social media, first sharing a graphic quoting Drake, adding a “Yooooooo” and a few crying emojis atop while playing his TLC-sampled track, “I Get Lonely.”
He also questioned, “WAITTTTTT LMAOOOO WHAT IN THE…” and then made light of the slight by asking, “who tryna be my…fragile opp,” alongside a drool emoji. Check the posts out below.

PartyNextDoor Album Update
In non-confrontational news, Drizzy updated fans on his highly-anticipated collaboration album with R&B singer PartyNextDoor.
“Me and Party’s album is 75 percent done shout out to PX cooking right now,” he said. “Album sounds incredible…This album is good; it’s the sound that people know and love us for.”

The Anitta Max Wynn Tour
The 6 god also announced that he will be hitting the road next year, traversing Australia on his Anitta Max Wynn Tour.
“I’m coming to Australia for the first time in eight years, coming back to Australia on tour it’s actually funny enough called the Anitta Max Wynn tour,” he announced. “Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast.”
He added that the tour will kick off on Feb. 9, the same day Kendrick Lamar will take the stage as the halftime performer for the Super Bowl.
