After launching in beta earlier this month, Mozilla has officially launched its long-awaited email app Thunderbird on Android.
Thunderbird is an open-source email client developed by Mozilla The app has been available on Linux and other platforms for ages and been in development since the early 2000s, but has never made its way to Android… until now.
Earlier this month, Mozilla launched the app in beta, but has quickly released it to all Android users.
In a post this week, Mozilla officially announced the release of Thunderbird for Android. The beta program is no longer required to download the app, and users can download it from the Play Store, or as an APK from GitHub. The app requires users to be on Android 5.0 or higher, and lacks ads (but accepts donations).
