My Chemical Romance has broken its silence over the death of drummer Bob Bryar, saying they are taking some time to "process the news of Bob's passing."
Their full statement, shared with Variety, read: "The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob's passing."
Bryar's death has shocked fans of the band. His official cause of death hasn't been released although it has been reported that authorities don't suspect foul play. He was found at his Tennessee home on November 27.

The most recent read: "TULSI", which is thought to be in reference to American politician Tulsi Gabbard.
He had previously tweeted: "MEGYN" which is thought to have been in reference to right-wing media commentator Megyn Kelly.

Bryar had also tweeted regarding singer Emily Armstrong's decision to front punk band Linkin Park following the death of their lead singer Chester Bennington.
"Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces and making Chester proud. She was the perfect choice. AND she had to deal with the initial hate. That sh--t is hard. Trust me. Word up," he wrote.
Bryar was the longest-serving drummer of My Chemical Romance from 2004 until 2010 alongside original members Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, Mikey Way and James Dewees.

"As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly," he said on behalf of the band.
"We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours and expect you all to do the same."

Bryar joined the band following the departure of previous drummer Matt Pelissier, having met the band while they were on tour.
He had suffered a series of health issues before his departure including suffering third-degree burns in an accident on the set of a music video in 2006, which led to an infection.
After leaving the band, Bryar retired from the music industry, becoming a real estate agent and working for a charity that rescues dogs.

He reportedly donated the money to the animal rescue centre he volunteered for.
Bryar's career began in Chicago, Illinois, playing drums as a child and performing in school marching and jazz bands.
