Alpha Prime Racing has officially announced the return of Brennan Poole as the full-time driver for the No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro, marking his second consecutive season with the team for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The seasoned driver has logged 155 starts in the Xfinity Series alongside stints in the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. His first season with Alpha Prime saw noteworthy achievements, with significant top-10 finishes. At the Talladega Superspeedway, Poole clinched 5th and 9th positions in the spring and fall races, respectively. As the season approaches its end, he is ranked 16th in the points standings.
The team posted the announced to social media, stating:
"He's not going anywhere. @brennanpoole returns to Alpha Prime Racing full-time in the No. 44 for 2025!"
This comes after the team confirmed that Ryan Ellis, who competes in the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro, will not be returning for the 2025 season. Ellis commented on his exit, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:
"Being part of Alpha Prime has meant so much to me. They helped me achieve a lifelong dream of racing full-time in NASCAR and I've had so much fun working with this group over the last few years.
"I feel like I've learned so much this year, and I'll forever be thankful for the opportunity they provided me. Alpha Prime truly became my first "home" in the sport, and everyone there will forever feel like family."
He added:
"Caesar [Bacarella], Tommy [Joe Martins], and the entire group gave me a massive opportunity, and I feel like I'll never be able to express how grateful I am to have been a small part of the beginning of APR's story. I wish them nothing but the best going forward and I can't wait to race against them and their lineup next season."
Alpha Prime Racing, initially known as Martins Motorsports, has a history dating back to 2009. Following a hiatus, the team reemerged in 2022 under the new co-ownership of Bacarella, with Tommy Joe Martins, also acting as General Manager, leading the charge in revitalizing the team.
