NASCAR heads to Phoenix Raceway for the last race of the season and to crown the Craftsman Truck, Xfinity and Cup Series champions. Phoenix Raceway has pulled out all the stops for this weekend's championship races to make the Cup Series Championship Race NASCAR's Super Bowl.
GRAMMY award-winning rapper Nelly will perform prior to the Cup Series Championship Race and fans in attendance can expect to hear his classic tune, "Hot In Herre". Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps will serve as the honorary pace car driver, while actor, writer and comedian Whitney Cummings has been named the honorary starter for the race.
Since the inception of the NASCAR Playoffs in 2004, Phoenix Raceway has had three different positions on the postseason schedule. This is the 21st consecutive season Phoenix has participated in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
