Skins legend Nicholas Hoult has revealed that he keeps a framed prosthetic manhood, worn by his 'Nosferatu' co-star Bill Skarsgard, at home.
The 35-year-old actor, who portrays Thomas Hutter in the new horror flick, disclosed that the unusual memento was a gift from director Robert Eggers. This came after an intimate scene where he felt Skarsgard's vampire Count Orlok's prosthetic member against his leg.
Speaking to Elle alongside fellow cast member Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas shared: "I have Count Orlok's prosthetic p**** framed at home."He went on to recount a humorous incident involving the framed item and a shop worker when the frame broke upon arrival.
The 'Renfield' star also opened up about how he was instructed by Eggers to shed weight to achieve his character's haunted appearance for the remake of the 1922 silent film.
In a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, he said: "Rob asked me to lose some weight for the movie. "So I was about 20 pounds lighter than I am normally, and that weight loss was combined with the makeup team's brilliant job."
The makeup team did a brilliant job on the film, according to insiders. "Thomas goes through a lot in this movie, and so they added that harrowing look with hollowed-out cheekbones.
"That was some great makeup in terms of making Thomas look like he'd been to hell and back."
