Nicholas Hoult has revealed that he keeps the prosthetic penis worn by his 'Nosferatu' co-star Bill Skarsgard "framed at home".

The former SKINS actor, 35, who portrays Thomas Hutter in the new horror flick, disclosed that the unusual memento was a gift from director Robert Eggers. This came after an intimate scene where he felt Skarsgard's vampire Count Orlok's prosthetic member against his leg.

During an interview with Elle alongside fellow cast member Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas shared: "I have Count Orlok's prosthetic penis framed at home."

He further explained: "There's a scene where Bill Skasrgard is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked afterward, 'How was that for you? ' And I said, 'I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg'. And then, as a wrap gift, Rob got it framed, and he sent it to my house."

The 'Renfield' star also recounted an awkward encounter at a shop due to the frame breaking upon arrival. Recalling the reaction of the staff member, Hoult said: "He kind of didn't even blink the first time."

However, when he returned to collect it, the employee had realised the oddity of the situation, asking: 'Is this some kind of collector's piece? To which Nicholas responded, 'Hm, you could say that."

Finally, Nicholas divulged how director Eggers instructed him to shed weight to achieve his character's haunted appearance for the remake of the classic 1922 silent film.

He revealed to The Hollywood Reporter: "Rob asked me to lose some weight for the movie. So I was about 20 pounds lighter than I am normally, and that weight loss was combined with the makeup team's brilliant job."

"Thomas goes through a lot in this movie, and so they added that harrowing look with hollowed-out cheekbones. That was some great makeup in terms of making Thomas look like he'd been to hell and back."
