Nicki Minaj channeled her inner “Home Shopping Network” skills during a special Live TikTok Shop event for her Pink Friday Nails ahead of Black Friday. Held on Sunday (Nov. 24), Minaj showed off her dazzling line of press-on nails with a fitting production set to match.

During the livestream, Minaj highlighted the various shapes, colors and styles of nails offered, while the live viewing audience sent messages by the milli-second in the chat. In addition to hoping the Queen caught one of their comments, fans also sent “gifts” which included roses, cowboy hats, flowers and more.

At one point, taken back by a cowboy hat and mustache appearing on her, Minaj jokingly said, “What is this close-up? Oh, Hell to the no! Who wants to get punched in the face?” See below.

The Pink Friday icon released her inaugural nail line in collaboration with her nail tech, Yvett G, back in March 2024. VIBE caught up with Yvett last month at the New York Pink Friday Nails x Shopify Pop-Up event, where she spoke on working with Nicki on the business tip.

“We started off with me personally doing her nails, like hands-on, and then eventually, we gravitated towards the press-ons once she had her baby, because she just didn’t have the time to sit there,” she recalled. “I remember even when she was pregnant, we would have to take long breaks because it was hard. But once we switched over, once we did the press-ons, that’s where she sparked the idea of a press-on line.”

“She was like, ‘Are there any press-on companies? You know what? I don’t think anybody’s actually come out with a press-on line.’ That was kind of like a side-note,” she further explained. “Fast forward, she calls me and says, ‘I want to see if you’d be interested in this. I’m doing this company and I told them I’m willing to do it, but I need you to be my designer.’ Originally, I was just going to help with designs, and the role grew from there. She gave me a lot of creative freedom and a lot of trust.”

According to the official Pink Friday Nails website, Minaj’s press-on designs come in multiple lengths, shapes (coffin, almond, square or stiletto) and unique styles—fit for any nailista. As for Minaj, Yvett says she’s more of “a bling girl, a long-nail girl.”
