Love is only half the battle for the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 couples. While there’s clearly love between them, maintaining overseas relationships requires effort, and in episode 19, they realize they might not be ready for the challenge.

90 Day Fiance’s James and Tata Were Unsure of Their Future

Only a day after their wedding, James and Tata were already arguing about the future of their relationship. James told Tata that they “have to go back” to the United States as their savings were close to being depleted.

“I wanted to give you a better life here. It’s not working,” James explained to his wife, who quickly grew frustrated with the conversation and stormed out of the room.

Tata later met up with her sister and revealed that James wanted to go back to the States. Her sister was furious to hear the news, slapping her thigh in anger.

“I gonna lose my family or I gonna lose James,” Tata tearfully told the cameras. James was upset that Tata had shared their issues with her family, but the Idonesia native explained that one of her conditions for moving back was for James to sponsor her sister’s visa.

James was frustrated that Tata was making plans without consulting him first, sparking another major blowup between them.

90 Day Fiance’s Statler and Dempsey Put a Deadline on Their Relationship

Dempsey and Statler were on better terms after their fight about wifi and took a romantic train ride. During the outing, Statler asked Dempsey if she could do more around the van — which frustrated the U.K. native.

“I feel like I give you a lot of support, maybe I just don’t have enough for you,” Dempsey replied. In response, Statler felt that their responsibilities weren’t equal, but Dempsey retorted that she didn’t want to be as money-focused as Statler.

“My entire life, I’ve just been desperate for somebody to love me. But maybe that’s not enough,” Statler said in a private confessional.

Dempsey then asked her girlfriend if she saw a long-term future together. Statler replied that she did, but things were still a bit uncertain as they weren’t currently meshing.

Statler told Dempsey that they should put a two-month timeline for their relationship to improve and get into a healthy place. She said if they weren’t on good terms by the end, they “should sell the van, and part ways.”
