Liam Payne’s family pay tribute after his death

One Direction fans have been strictly urging members of the public not to show up at Liam Payne's funeral. The former One Direction singer passed away last month after falling from his hotel room balcony in Argentina.

The 31 year old's life is set to be honoured in a grand remembrance service at the end of this week. An initial post-mortem examination said that Liam died instantly due to multiple traumas, with "internal and external haemorrhage."

On Monday 4 November, his body was flown back to the United Kingdom and inside sources close to the Payne family have revealed that a "lavish service of remembrance" is being put together.

One Direction fans have since pleaded on social media for people not to show up to the funeral. A post on Capital FM on Instagram read: "Thinking of Liam's family and friends at this time.

"It's been reported that Liam Payne's funeral will take place this week, and Directioners have been trying to protect his loved ones' privacy by urging people not to show up.

"It's currently unconfirmed as to whether Harry, Zayn, Niall or Louis will be in attendance, but fans have sharing reminders online to not show up to try and see them or release any info about the funeral."

Many followers of the hit radio station flocked to the comments section, with the majority agreeing that the Payne family should be left alone to grieve in private.

One person said: "No one shouldn’t even be thinking about going to his funeral.. a funeral is for HIS family and HIS friends."

A second also chimed in: "Please do not attend his funeral. Think about his family, his son, his former partner Kate and Cheryl. Please do not harass Niall, Louis, Zayn and Harry at this moment. Urging you all to sit in peace and grieve him while his family sits beside him. He loved us, yes but his family is more important at this fragile time. Think of their feelings and DO NOT act stupid."

A third similarly said: "It blows my mind that some directioners ( not all!) think it’s ok to turn up at a private funeral to get a glimpse of the boys. I’m glad that 99% are saying don’t come but some really don’t get it."

Liam became a dad to Bear back in 2017 during his two-year romance with Girls Aloud star and former 'The X Factor' judge Cheryl.

He had travelled to Argentina last month for his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan’s solo concert, and his influencer girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 25, had been with him on the trip – but left to go back to her home in America 48 hours before he was found dead.
