OnePlus is set to launch a new budget-focused device in the upcoming OnePlus 13R and while specs and other details are not yet clear, it’s been confirmed the device will have a 6,000 mAh battery.
Just yesterday, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will be launching on January 7. Alongside it, the OnePlus 13R will offer a budget-conscious smartphone in the same vein, though details are fuzzy for now. The only big spec that OnePlus is advertising is a 6,000 mAh battery, a little under a 10% increase from the OnePlus 12R.
Also mentioned for the OnePlus 13R is a triple-camera system, 8mm thin design, and the use of Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and the back.
OnePlus 12R used a one-year-old chipset compared to the OnePlus 12, so it seems likely enough that 13R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, or at least something in that vein. Other downgrades from the regular 13 are likely to come from the camera and other aspects of the device.
OnePlus says that OnePlus 13R will come in “Nebula Noir” and “Astral Trail” color variants.
OnePlus 13R is a pocket powerhouse, combining showstopping design with blistering flagship level performance, super adaptable cameras, a lighter than air operating system and a massive 6,000mAh battery. It is launching in two colorways, both inspired by Mother Nature – Nebula Noir and Astral Trail – and, like OnePlus 13, combines a slim design with an elegant camera layout which follows the golden ratio. It also features the newly developed Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and back, providing superior protection against screen scratches, paired with an aluminum frame to create a refined, elegant look. With a flat screen within an 8mm thin body and a finish reminiscent of star trails, OnePlus13R merges form with function to achieve a harmonious design.
The OnePlus Buds 3 Pro are also getting a new variant to match the blue OnePlus 13, with a “Sapphire Blue” variant that has a faux leather texture and silver accents, just like the OnePlus 13.
