BBC)The segment on Children in Need comes after the BBC confirmed earlier this year that Outnumbered will return at Christmas for the first new episode in almost a decade. Announcing the news, the broadcaster shared that the main cast will all be back in their respective roles for the special.
The BBC previously shared that the new festive special will involve parents Sue and Pete attempting to celebrate gather their kids for a "traditional family Christmas". It teased about the plot: "In a moment of adversity, [they] gather all their offspring (including one grandchild) to try and celebrate a traditional family Christmas. But fate, neighbours, hyenas and bus replacement services get in their way."
Hugh said about the show's return: "I can't wait for the Brockmans to be back together again. Pete and Sue have downsized, the children are no longer children, but I'm sure family life will prove to be just as chaotic as ever." Whilst Claire said: "I'm really looking forward to being reunited with my TV family. Working on this wonderful BBC comedy doesn't feel like work and is one of the greatest joys for us all."
Following the news, cast members Tyger, Daniel and Ramona reunited at the National Television Awards (the NTAs) in September. They were among the award presenters at the O2 Arena in London and fans shared their surprise at the time over how "grown up" they look now.
BBC Children in Need 2024 will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday (November 15) from 7pm.
