Overwatch 2 is ramping up its updates to celebrate the holiday season. After featuring collaborations with One Punch Man and My Hero Academia, the multiplayer shooter is now collaborating with Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Overwatch 2 x Avatar The Last Airbender
From December 17 to 30, players can unlock and equip skins inspired by characters from Avatar. Six skins give a makeover to existing heroes, along with unlockable themed sprays, voice lines, and player icons.
Here are all the Overwatch 2 x Avatar skins:
- Mei as Katara - Unlocked after completing challenges
- Zenyatta as Aang
- Orisa as Appa
- Venture as Toph
- Genji as Zuko
- Kiriko as Suki
Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 6v6 Game Mode
Winter Wonderland has returned to Overwatch 2, and it brings a jolly vibe to its arenas. There are many rewards packed in this update, starting with simple login rewards for every day you open the game.
Blizzard is also bringing back the original 6v6 mode, where teams can deploy a 2-2-2 formation to change the match's pace. Since there are many changes in this update, you'll want to check out the Overwatch 2 6v6 experiment patch notes. Besides that, the Winter Wonderland update will include Mei's Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Freeze Flash Elimination.
You can also unlock three skins for free starting December 19 by completing specific challenges:
- Merry Marionette Echo - play 3 matches
- Cassidy's legendary winter skin - play 6 matches
- Windowmaker's legendary skin - play 9 matches
Overwatch 2's Role Queue Experiment will run till January 6, 2025. Of course, being a live service game there is also a seasonal premium bundle, called the Happy Holly Mercy bundle, which you can pick up from the shop.
If you like watching your favorite streamers play the game, you can earn rewards by doing the same through a new Twitch drops promotion. You'll need to watch at least fifteen hours of live-streamed gameplay from a streamer with Drops enabled. Just ensure you've linked your Battle.net account with Twitch.
If you'd rather play other multiplayer games like Marvel Rivals, there are plenty to choose from during the holiday season. Speaking of collaborations, Helldivers 2 is also crossing over with Killzone in its latest update, while Fortnite is getting a Skibidi Toilet skin.
