Owner Not Prepared for What Tiny Kitten Does After Adoption: 'Help Her'

5 hours ago 1

As highly curious animals, kittens learn about their environment through exploration, and no spot is to be left unseen. They sneak and stuff their way into the tiniest of places. They'll test their limits to see if their little paws can propel them onto the counter. But where one kitten got stuck left viewers both stressed and cracking up.

After bringing home Mert, a gray and white kitty, the owner quickly learned how curious cats can be when she discovered that Mert had fallen into the toilet. It's almost unbelievable that this could happen, but once you look at the first picture of Mert in the November 8 TikTok clip (@santashelpasindisguise), you can see she doesn't look too innocent. Her eyes screamed that she was ready to get herself in trouble and she did.

"We have set Mert up in the laundry where there is also a bathroom and I was cleaning her litter tray," the owner told Newsweek via TikTok. "She climbed up her bed and plunged into the toilet."

The second photo on TikTok shows Mert stuck inside the toilet. She fell straight to the bottom. Her paws stretched out, stopping herself. She looked up as if her life was flashing before her eyes. The owner first checked that Mert was OK before quickly snapping a photo.

"She just looked so funny in there," the owner said. "I took her out and washed her straight away."

A follow-up video showed that Mert was "so sleepy" after her toilet plunge, but she was fine and safe. She's even back playing with the dog. As for it happening again, Mert told the owner she won't do it again, "probably."

The clip has over 40.7 million views on TikTok, and viewers flooded the comments section with concern over how it happened. Others couldn't stop laughing.

"She fits so perfectly," said a TikTok user, while another pleaded: "Help her get out."

One user came to the owner's defense: "No bc I totally understand why u took the picture no one would ever understand the gravity of this situation if you didn't."

Surprisingly, Mert isn't the first kitty to do this. "My kitten once jumped in the toilet that had pee in it right when I was about to flush," wrote another user.
