Paddy McGuinness takes brutal swipe at ex Christine in stand-up comedy return

4 weeks ago 13

TV favourite Paddy McGuinness couldn't resist a cheeky jibe at his ex, Christine McGuinness, during his return to stand-up comedy.

The pair, who parted ways after 11 years of marriage, still live together to support their three autistic children - Leo and Penelope, both aged 11, and little Felicity, 8.

In a return to live comedy - his first in nearly 10 years no less - Paddy had the audience at King George's Hall in Blackburn chuckling away as he quipped about his post-split life. He reportedly kicked off the show with a gag about his divorce, insisting the night was all about "love and respect" regardless of "what race you are, what religion, what your sexuality is."

A sneaky one-liner reported by The Sun had Paddy ribbing: "Tonight, folks, we're all here as human beings with one common goal - and that's to help me pay for my divorce. I've had the pants down, me, the pants down."

Following her revelation that ex-husband Paddy is seldom at home with their children, Christine admitted that co-parenting was "not easy". In a fresh interview, she alleged that the Top Gear comedian was only home for five days during the summer.

She told new! magazine: "Co-parenting means that when he's back, he's entitled to his time and it's good for the children they love spending time together. So it makes sense for me to disappear for a couple of days and enjoy it."

However, Christine admitted she will "really struggle" when the time comes for her and Paddy to live separately, and sadly conceded that it will be a "massive shock" to the family.
