Pamela Anderson's son revealed he made it his "mission" to change people's perception of the Baywatch icon.
Her son, actor and producer Brandon Thomas Lee has spoken about the opinion industry bosses in Hollywood had on his mother and admits it's taken "years" to shatter the stereotype. Brandon, 28, has about his 57-year-old mum being portrayed as a sex symbol after she found fame as a Playboy.
Pamela became a household name across the globe after taking on the role of CJ Parker in Baywatch, instantly sparking a frenzy with her every move. Having been filmed countless times running around in a red swimsuit, she was regarded as one of the major sex symbols in the entertainment industry with her striking blonde hair and movie star looks.
But away from this, her two sons have been at the centre of her world and they have often stressed their desire to become her "protector". Over the years, Pamela's world has been rocked, most notably following the leak of her sex tape with her former husband and father of her two sons, Motley Crew rocker, Tommy Lee.

FilmMagic)Speaking in a new interview, Brandon, revealed how he managed to help his mum, who he affectionately calls Pamela, to land the role of Shelly in the movie, The Last Showgirl. Brandon revealed that Pamela's former agent had refused to show his mother the script but she was instantly drawn to it.
"The reason I got involved, other than for various business reasons — my personal mission was to give my mom the opportunities she gave me as a child," he told Variety. He went on to add: "She would do anything for me, she showed up and was a very good mother and at a certain point in your life, you become a protector.
"I knew from a very early age that I was going to eventually be the one that put the stake in the ground for my family and rally around that." Brandon added that it would have been easy for others and himself to make money off the stereotype surrounding Pamela but although she would've been profiting, she wouldn't have been happy. In return, Pamela and Brandon, who handles the family business affairs turned down a string of "big" opportunities which wouldn't have enabled her to feel "proud" of her work.
Social media users have since reacted to Brandon's comments and praised him for looking out and vowing to protect his mum. "Brandon Lee doesn't play about his mother and it's really special to see," said one. A second went on to add: "This is the hottest thing a man can do btw."
"He's actually such a good kid, he was the good one on The Hills reboot but ultimately too boring for that type of show," said a third. Meanwhile another X user commented: "The documentary that he put together on her was incredible. He really loves his mom deeply."
