Paramount is shifting upcoming titles September 5 and Better Man.
The Peter Sarsgaard starrer about the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics and the ABC Sports broadcasting team who had to shift from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage will now hit theaters on December 13 before expanding on Jan 17. (Previously it was set to begin screening on November 29 and expand on December 13.)
Elsewhere the studio is shifting the release of Better Man, about British pop superstar Robbie Williams, with the film now going wide on January 10, a week earlier than the previously planned January 17. The film will keep its limited-release opening of December 25.
Both films moved slightly to better fit into awards season.
The studio will next release Gladiator 2 over the Thanksgiving holiday with the film already earning over $100 million in its opening weekend overseas.
